My sisters and I have holiday favorites that we share: watching “White Christmas”, singing & acting out the 12 days of Christmas, making holiday yummies, and light looking.  But I think our all time favorite holiday activity is making orange rolls together.  Mom would make the dough, roll it out, and then encourage each of us to create something special with each strip.  The dough goes quickly and we were always hoping she’d want to make the orange rolls again for Christmas Eve.

A few years ago, my sweet mother-in-law, wanting to help my Thanksgiving be more like home, invited me to make something we would have at our home .  Of course I made the orange rolls, twisting and folding each one different from the first.  As delicious as they were…I think they would have been even better if Mom, Dezzer & Reesa were there creating with me!

This year, the kiddos and I are going to make orange rolls together.  We’re so excited to be celebrating Thanksgiving with our awesome friends, the Mitchells.  Jules…we’re bringing rolls…and whatever else you would like!  ~ katrina
