I love flowers, gardens and weathered, old stairways. I especially love them when they are combined to create something nostalgic and beautiful. This painting was inspired by a visit to the West Baden Springs Resort in southern Indiana. This resort includes a magnificent, historic hotel that is on the National Register of Historic Landmarks. The grounds, gardens and garden features have also been restored and promote a feeling of peace and tranquility. ~ linda
