Cyrus by debbie tolbert, 9 x 12, oil on canvas board, $300 unframed
While painting this bear, I squinted at the photo and then blocked the basic colors in. Abruptly, my life interrupted me. My phones started ringing, text messages chimed, the dogs were noisily chasing the cats through the barn, kids were hollering and I needed a diet coke. By the time I got back to painting I decided that I liked the fundamental shapes and values staring at me and just signed it. Sometimes interruptions work for you. ~ debbie

I need to learn to use my interruptions…I adore cyrus Deb! I simply want to hug him.
I agree with Katrina, this guy needs a home and a family to adore him. He should be the poster child for the Smokey the Bear campaign.
Now I don’t feel bad for being those interruptions, they apparently make for amazing art.
