van wagoner home by marilynn z. nielson, 12×16 oil, SOLD
This historic home was designed and built by John Watkins. He was the architect for many of the historic “gingerbread” homes in Midway that have been the subjects for many paintings. I don’t know of anyone who has previously painted this one. This south view shows only a few of the many different roof lines and eves. It is truly an architectural achievement. The home was occupied by the Watkins family and then by their daughter Lorna and her husband Burton Van Wagoner. They raised their children in the home and nurtured many grandchildren who have fond memories of the home. ~ marilynn

I love this one! It is fabulous!
Nice work Marilynn. This turned out great. I’m sure the family loved it. Janice
