After having so much fun painting the home across the street from this one, I decided to do this one that was probably built about the same time. There are a number of historic homes in Midway that are very similar. It is a sad day when any of them is replaced with newer buildings in the name of progress. Thankfully artists have immortalized them with numerous paintings . I especially like to paint them in the winter, because most of the trees around them are old and large and the foliage almost completely hides them in the summer. The bricks in these old homes were hand made locally, but most have been painted bard red, a color that looks beautiful with the white snow. ~ marilynn
